LAMBDA RECEIVES 2003 JOHN P. DAVIS AWARD

Paul Prevéy (presenting Author), Ravi Ravindranath (US Navy), Mike Shepard (AFRL), and Timothy Gabb (NASA) have been awarded the IGTI 2003 John P. Davis Award for the paper entitled “Case Studies of Fatigue Life Improvements using Low Plasticity Burnishing in gas Turbine Engine Applications.” This award recognizes gas turbine application papers that are judged to be of exceptional value to those supplying or using gas turbines and their support systems. The IGTI Board of Directors deemed this paper “an excellent contribution to the literature of gas turbine engine technology.” The award will be presented at the 2005 Turbo Expo in Reno, Nevada, June 6-9, 2005.
