Press Release

THREE WHEELABRATOR EMPLOYEES
HONORED FOR 40 YEARS OF SERVICE

LaGrange, GA – (June 14, 2006) – Wheelabrator Group is pleased to recognize three employees from the LaGrange facility for 40 years of service to the company.  The employees were honored with a dinner and private theater performance for their longtime dedication to the company.  They are Director of Risk Management Gary Weil, Engineer Bob Morrison and Logistics and Maintenance Manager Dave Molnar.  Before moving to the LaGrange facility, they were employed at the Mishawaka, Ind., facility.

The company celebrated this historic event with dinner at Events on Main in LaGrange followed by a private murder mystery performance, “Bullet’s for Broadway,” by the LaGrange Lyric Theater.  Wheelabrator General Manager Pierre Tanguay and President and CEO Robert Joyce thanked the honorees and their families for their dedication.  Tanguay and Joyce, along with Mike Hillebrand, a 43-year Wheelabrator employee, welcomed each of the honorees into the “40” club.

Wheelabrator was founded in 1908 in Ohio as the Sand Mixing Machine Company and changed its name in 1910 to the American Foundry Equipment Company. The company introduced the airless blast wheel to the blast cleaning world in 1932.  In 1946 the company became the American Wheelabrator and Equipment Company and incorporated in Delaware.

In 1987, Wheelabrator moved its service and supply departments from Mishawaka, Ind. to LaGrange, Ga. and moved its assembly to Newnan, Ga.  All departments were consolidated and moved to LaGrange in 1992.
