Abstract:
A number of fatigue life tests have been carried out on vehicle plate springs made of 60Si2Mn steel treated by ball shooting. The results showed that random ball shooting,
random ball shooting accompanied by ball shooting on flanks, and prestressing ball shooting give the plate spring a much longer fatigue life.
