Today's workd automotive business climate is demanding more cost effective, higher strength/weight designs than ever before. Engineering coverage factors are shrinking and
at the same time, designs are becoming more robust. Consequently, manufactureing processes without a quantified benefit/cost ratio are being descarded. Those processes that
are utilized are required to statistacially demonstrate acceptable product performance.
