Abstract:
Exfoliation Corrosion, a more severe form of Intergranular Corrosion, occurs along aluminium grain boundaries which in sheet and plate are oriented parallel to the surface
of the material, due to the rolling process. It is characterized by delamination of thin layers of the aluminium with white corrosion products between the layers.
