Abstract:
ABSTRACT Laser peening is expected to improve fatigue properties more than shot peening, because it is possible to induce compressive residual stresses deeper than conventional treatments. In this study, we examined the applicability of laser peening to the aircraft through investigating the effects of laser peening on fatigue properties and the formability of aircraft parts.
