I'm curious to see how many audits other shot peening suppliers go through each year. It was my understanding that Nadcap was supposed to reduce the number of audits. Not only has the number of audits not been reduced they've actually increased. Last year we had 44 different audits and this does not include first piece witness, or government souce inspections. We are on pace to shatter that number this year. We are audited not only by the primes which all of them are Nadcap subscribers, but direct customers as well.

are you come from NADCAP?

My company is Nadcap certified for AS 7117 computer controlled, automatic and manual shot peening. We were the first Nadcap accredited shot peening facility in the world. While I still believe in the Nadcap process it has not delivered on it's promise to reduce redundant audits.
