Dear All,
we are doing Shot Peening / Blasting services in Chennai, India. One of our customer enquired about High Temperature Shot Peening. They require the component to be kept at 350'C throught peening. Does any body have any idea to do?? and what is the advantage doing so?

It is difficult to imagine any application where keeping components at 350'C throughout peening is advantageous. Compressive stress generation will be drastically reduced with stress-relief occurring after peening. It is possible to deliberately generate high temperatures by means of very high intensity shot peening.

What is the material you are peening and what intensity is being requested?
