Dear,

I need to measure residual stresses in a tube that was shot peened in outside surface. According the specification I have to demostrate that compressive residual stresses reach 0.15 mm in depth. The measurement has to be made using an X-ray technique.
Can anyone advise me about a lab able to perform this kind of test.
Thanks in advance.

There are a large number of companies worldwide that can perform this kind of test, e.g Progressive Technologies Inc. (Lambdatechs.com) in the USA. You should contact the Engineering Department of your nearest university to find the nearest local lab.
Hello,

The buyer's guide of this website offers a listing of companies that do x-ray measurement. You can view it here...

Of those listed I can recommend Proto Manufacturing (http://www.protoxrd.com/) in the US. They often help us with our educational seminars.
Hi,

You can contact Proto Mfg. Ltd. since they have extensive experience measuring residual stress on a wide variety of samples. You can call them at 1-800-965-8378 or 313-965-2900. You may also wish to email the lab at [email protected] or go the website www.protoxrd.com

Cheers!
James
