The Surface Enhancement Division of Fatigue Design and Evaluation Committee is proposing a new Standard Practice J2597 for Saturation Curve Solver Programs. The intention of the practice is to ensure that all curve solver programs will achieve the same (i.e. nearly the same) value for intensity. There are ten sets of data in the procedure and the curve solver program would have to achieve the "correct" answer for all ten sets. We would like to have others test the data sets. If you have a curve solver program please download the data set and then e-mail me your results. All results will then be compiled into a report.
