Many metals are shot peening to modify fatigue, SCC and fretting ect. properties, especially for polycrystallines. How about shot peening of single crystals? Thank you for your kind advice in advance on this topic.

If you are asking about peening of single crystal turbine blades that see high temperatures, I think that is a bad idea. The cold work of peening can cause recrystallization at high temp and destroy the single crystal surface
