I have a customer that would like me to shot peen some impellers. The specification is 6 to 10 A intensity with 110 shot 125% coverage.

I would need to do this with a suction blaster. Can I acheive these results with a suction blaster?

I understand that I would need the Almen strips and fixturing to set up process parameters, but before purchasing this I would like to know first if it is even possible.

Any other tips on things to consider would be appreciated.

Thanks very much.

The answer is "probably yes". If you have adequate air pressure and a good nozzle design. You should consult with several machine manufactures in advance, they can provide a set up to prove the capability in advance.
