Hello,
When blasting an Almen strip, do you blast the entire strip, or just the middle? My nstructions are not specific on this.

You will be expected to cover the entire Almen strip.

It depends on what you are peening and if the specification you are using permits it. Generally the entire test strip is peened. However, there are times when this is not practical. Example: If you are performing peening on a small ID you may peen a "shaded" strip that represents the diameter being peened. This is done by making a correlation between a fully peened "A" strip and a shaded "N" strip.
