WALNUT SHELL GRITS AS AN ABRASIVE
Walnut shell grits is a hard and fibrous product made from crushed walnut shell in accordance with international trade standards. Walnut shell is the most representative soft type abrasive in existence today.It has excellent durability and is now widely used as polishing and cleaning material for trimming, removal of adhered objects, and for deburring of critical and fragile parts without etching,scratching or marking the cleaned areas or damaging the parts.
Applications include cleaning aluminum engine components, moulds, armatures, electric motors prior to rewinding, deflashing plastics and cleaning IC packages. It is also used in cleaning Gun Barrels ,white metal
casts. It has found a great use in deflashing Bakelite components as well as in the Switcgear industry.
It can also be used for fine polishing of jewelry, other Gold, Silver and Brass objects, watches , golf clubs etc. Besides it has also found a great use in the Vibratory finishing Industry. Aerojet industry also uses Walnut
