Hi guys new here but been blasting for 25 years but need info on this one. I have been blasting stainless steel for a customer for several years with glass beads to give satin finish, they have been taken over by an American company and are now asking for a 3:1 beads / ally oxide mix and no recycling of media to give a satin finish, I need to know what benefit the mix will give over beads only and since this process is done in closed booth used only for this type of work why new media all the time.will the oxide not matt the surface and cause contamination ?
