Need advise on surface preparation of railway passenger coaches with side-walls and roof of ferritic stainless steel sheet and under-frame of corten steel.What are relative merits and de-merits of air blasting using following media -
- Garnet
- Aluminium Oxide
- Stainless steel grit
Contamination of stainless steel is to be avoided.
Surface preparation requires SA2.5 finish with Rz~5 microns.
Production requirement is 2 coaches per shift.
