Peening Coverage Predictor Program

The Coverage Predictor Program, developed by Dr. David Kirk, will automatically calculate and graph the peening coverage for a set number of passes given an initial measured value(s). Two Coverage Predictor programs are available, one for when only a single coverage measurement is made and the other for when several are made (multi-measurements). Both programs (included in one Excel spreadsheet) use Microsoft Excel and are compatible with both Office 2003 and 2007 versions.

Simply input your data (measured value of coverage) and the program will complete both the chart and the graph for predicted coverage. For example, suppose you achieve 40% coverage on the first pass. The Single Measurement Coverage Predictor indicates that with eight passes you should achieve 98.32% coverage.
