ABSTRACT Experiments and fatigue analysis were accomplished to evaluate and predict the fatigue life of shot peened gear in this paper. The fatigue life was evaluated depending on the peening intensity. From A-N (Almen intensity - Number of fatigue cycles) curve for a bevel gear, the specific time and velocity having a maximum fatigue life were determined. Microscopic observation of crack surface was done through
