I work for a comany that also do painting, we have a lot of jiggs, hooks, use to hold parts during painting, they often have like 1mm of paint. We need to clean them often, we do that thanks to an external company, with a burn off furnace. We are looking to internalize cleaning, but those burn off furnace are quite expensive, and require some autorisation (environnement etc). At the same time, we also have an old shot peening tunnel, not in use anymore, we are thinking to turn it into a shot blasting tunnel, to clean the fixtures. What do you think of that? Is there risks? like fire with the paint dust, machine fouling
or do I need to modify the media cleaning equipement? (for the moment an air separator).
Do you have examples of such use?
