Need to know if shot peen forming skin 0.500 thick and obtaining a .032C intensity will be detrimental to the part? If so, is there any article about that?
You need to throw a lot more information into this discussion. What is your target material alloy and its hardness? Do you process from one side only or both sides (one at a time) or both sides simultaneously?
Shot peen forming a component half an inch thick would require bothvery high intensity and very high coverage. Isn't there an alternative - such as roll forming?
