Hi y'all,

We have to glass bead peen an internal spline that is about 4" in diameter.

We have two factions that are debating the requirements of the job and how to verify that the job was done correctly.

One faction say that placing an Almen strip representative of the root radius and aiming one nozzle directly at it will be sufficient.

The other faction says that we have to have Almen strips representative of each surface of the spline. If this is true, we need to run the part with four nozzles and some parts of the spline would get severely over-peened.

What is your opinion?

Thanks in advance for your help.
