I am trying to locate a supplier of Tungsten Shot. The product we have used in the past is called EC240.
I could be wrong but I think the 24 refers to the diamaeter in thousands of an inch, since it seems to be about 0.024" (0.6mm) in Dia.
Although generally spherical, the EC240 we have used in the past has a fair degree of irregularity in shape and some variation in size. So I am guessing it may be from a cut-wire process with very little if any post processing.
We use this shot in a recirculating system so our consumption isnt high as the shot doesnt breakdown much over time.
We would typically order about 10kg each time.
Any advice on possible manufacturers/suppliers of tungsten shot is appreciated.
