Does anyone have any experience in using very brittle glass beads for shot peening. I ve seen some glass beads so bad, they break down twice as fast compared to approved glassbead manufacturers of some engine repair for AMS2431/6. I ve also been observing for quite a while that some companies would use glassbeads from any source and just get it in the right size range and that s about it. So I m wondering what problems could arise using media like this for shot peening, assuming equipment with proper media classification is used.
