Hi,
I have to measure residual stresses on external surface of a tube 15 mm OD x 1,1 mm WT.
This tube has be peened externally and I need to demostrate that the compresion stresses has reached (as minimum) 0.12 mm depth. According our client, this measurement has to be performed using an x-ray method.
Could someone advice me in wich is the best way to do it. taking into account that I need a penetration of 0.12 mm.
The material is a Ni-Fe-Cr alloy.
