tec; here is the method for checking/setting your RoTap hammer height:

1. Find top dead center of the hammer cam. You do this by turning a hex nut located under the hammer near the hammer hinge.
2. Make sure that the cork is firmly seated in the cover plate and that the cover plate is installed even with the upper carrying arm.
3. Measure the hammer height from the top of the cork to the bottom of the hammer. It should read 1 5/16 +- 1/16.
4. Height can be adjusted by removing the back cover on the RoTap, loosen the screws on the retention device holding the lift rod, and moving the rod up/down as required. Be sure to re-tighten the holding screws.

By doing this you should be back in business.
