You need to better understand coverage and intensity. The MagnaValve sets the media flow rate. You expose your part for some period of time making dents.
The intensity is determined by type/size/hardness of media and its velocity (air pressure). So, the question about how much time to get intensity does not make sense. Intensity is the setting of the machine parameters for blast stream energy. You measure the intensity by using Almen strips and a saturation curve (4 or more strips and Dr. Kirks Solver program).
You will have to experiment with exposure time to get 100% coverage, or complete denting of the part. Then, of coarse, you double the time or do a second pass to get you 200% coverage.
