Here are the changes I'm proposing for Case Hardened Steel Peening Balls since they can not and are not made by anyone to the current sepcification. These changes were suggested by Abbott Ball Company West Hartford CT.
3.2.1 Change to read Rc60 Minimum
3.2.2 Change to read .025 Minimum or see table 1.
Table 1. Remove Max case depth inch / mm columns.
3.3.2 delete
4.1.1 delete
4.1.2 change twenty to six
4.1.2.1 delete " Case microhardness at 0.002 and 0.003 inch (0.05 and 0.08 mm) depth shall be equivalent to 636 to 730 HV ( 57 to 62 HRC)
Change last sentence to read: Core hardness is where the depth reaches RC 50.
4.1.3 Delete
4.1.4 Delete
5.1 change to 50 pound bags from 80.
