We have 2 centrifugal wheel machines, 1 machine is filled with 230H 55-62HRC cast steel shot the other machine is filled with 110H 55-62HRC cast steel shot. We have noticed that the machine carrying the 110 shot is getting contaminated with 230 shot (mainly due to poor housekeeping and poor work methods). Are there any guidelines as to how much contamination is permissible before we need to replace or sieve all the shot in the machine? If the 110 shot was heavily contaminated with 230 shot could this potentially damage or deform components?
