SCOPE: This commercial item description (CID) covers newly manufactured mineral type abrasive materials used with pressure blasting equipment. The abrasives are generally used for blast cleaining metal surfaces to remove scale, rust, paint, encrusted sand, dirt and other foreign materials, and to prepare surfaces for applied finishes such as paints, plasma spray and metal platings.
