Sometimes we plan the magazine around specific topics; sometimes it just happens. This issue was a combination of both. We anticipated that we would have two industry leaders submit articles on preventing Stress Corrosion Cracking on welded materials for the Energy sector. It’s good news that the Laser Peening division of Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies (CWST) (page 6) and the Lambda Technologies Group (page 18) are tackling this serious issue with great success.
