INTRODUCTION The global shot peening community has its sights set on Japan as details begin to roll out for the 16th International Conference on Shot Peening (ICSP16). Organized by the Japan Society of Shot Peening Technology (JSSP) and chaired by Yoshihiro Watanabe of TOYO SEIKO CO., LTD., the conference is scheduled for September 11–14, 2028, at the Nagaragawa Convention Center in Gifu, Japan.
